Meet The Team

DR. TYLER OWENS

Dr. Tyler Owens grew up in St. George, Utah. Upon receiving his bachelor’s degree in Biology from Brigham Young University, he attended the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. Owens participated in multiple mission trips to underserved areas of the world, where he discovered his passion for pediatric dental care. Treating children during these trips led him to complete his residency and training at NYU Lutheran Pediatrics. Dr. Owens is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD).

As a board-certified pediatric Dentist, like Dr. Owens, has gone through a rigorous examination process with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Only Dentists that have completed a residency in pediatric dentistry can sit for the board certification examinations. Board certification tests the knowledge and problem-solving abilities of a pediatric Dentist. In our opinion, taking your child to see a certified pediatric Dentist is as important as taking them to a pediatrician.

Dr. Owens and his wife, Kristen, have four children: Ryan, Ryder, Olivia, and Charlotte. When he is not in the office, Dr. Owens loves outdoor activities, learning new things and spending time with his family. Fun Fact: Dr. Owens has NEVER had a cavity!

DR. JOSHUA BULLOCK

Dr. Joshua Bullock grew up in Mesa Arizona. While attending BYU Josh majored in Exercise Science and minored in Chemistry. He was active in the pre-dental club and served as president of the club during his senior year. He was also active in volunteering and served as volunteer coordinator for Give Kids a Smile. This helped influence his decision to pursue a career in pediatric dentistry. Upon completion of his undergraduate degree, Dr. Josh attended Roseman University’s College of Dental Medicine.

During his studies at Roseman, treating patients and learning more about the practice of dentistry shaped his desire to provide the best possible oral health care to under-served pediatric populations. Dr. Josh was awarded a scholarship from the National Health Service Corps, one of only 27 dental students across the country to receive the award. After dental school Dr. Josh trained as a pediatric dentist at The Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage Alaska through NYU’s Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Josh is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD).

Josh, his wife Jourdan, and their four children Teddy, Sage, Clae, and Flora love to spend time together outside. Hiking, camping, fishing, riding bikes, enjoying nature, and even building igloos!

DR. BETSY ROGERS

Dr. Rogers is a Pediatric Dentist at Springfield Kids Dental! She is originally from Newburgh, Indiana, and got her undergraduate degree from Saint Louis University and went to dental school at Indiana University School of Dentistry. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Board of Dentistry, and the International Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She loves helping kids who have been afraid, or have had scary experiences at the dentist, overcome their fears. It’s so fun to see a kid develop new confidence in themselves and see their parents pride in the progress they have achieved.

She lives in Springfield with her boyfriend, three cats (Tonks, Pippa, and Clementine), and two dogs (Chica and Chewie). Her biggest hobby is genealogy. She began her family tree as an assignment in high school, and never stopped! She loves learning about applying genetics to genealogy and how investigators are using DNA and family trees to solve cold cases (She also loves true crime podcasts and TV shows, so this stuff is right up my alley). Dr. Rogers and her boyfriend also run a few marathons a year, so when she is not working on teeth or on Ancestry.com, you can find her running! If she could have a superpower it would either be time travel (so she could go back in time and meet her ancestors) or teleportation (She loves to travel, but long flights and car rides can be such a drag!).
